Marc van Wageningen
What can we say about this absolutely amazing bassist? Marc plays it all--funk, jazz, afro-cuban, world--and all equally well. You might hear strains of Jaco and Rocco but Marc has developed a sound all his own, one with a quiet ferocity and impeccable taste. It's no wonder that artists as multi-faceted as Sheila E., Francisco Aguabella, or Ray Obiedo have been utilizing this secret weapon of the Bay Area for almost 20 years. Already as a teenager growing up in Amsterdam, Marc played with renown saxman Hans Dulfer (yes, her father) and continues to be a much sought after musician.
